Our Courses

We plan to deliver a series of short, practical courses to help young people transition the gap between education and employment, which

  • Introduce essential workplace and life skills
  • Help build confidence and motivation
  • Support decision-making around career paths
  • Offer guidance on further training, apprenticeships, or employment opportunities

As just one example, for those Students interested in a Degree Apprenticeship, our course

  • Firstly describes the main Disciplines likely to be needed for a career in Industry and Commerce.
  • Secondly phase examines the key factors for success, both in Research and Innovation, and in Operations
  • Finally, presents an inter-active Case Study to demonstrate to Students how each of the factors integrate with a live multi-national business

To make our Courses more affordable for Students who meet the qualifying criteria, the College, which is entirely staffed by Volunteers from the Community, will use the Beacon EVT Bursary Scheme for Students who meet the qualifying criteria.

The Pilot Scheme, initiated by the Beaconsfield Community Association and the Beaconsfield Town Council prioritising students who do not have funding immediate available , has been supported by the Heart of Bucks Community Foundation, by the Clare Foundation, and by Rouse Partners.
